EDUS - The Official App of Caja

EDUS is the official app of Caja and the Social Security and Health Care Program (Caja Costarricense de Seguro Social – CCSS). It provides access via your smartphone to relevant information on your Single Digital Health Record (EDUS for its Spanish initials).

With EDUS, you can consult your personal data, pending and previous medical appointments, as well as request or cancel your appointments and that of your dependents in the corresponding sector (your local EBAIS or clinic), validation of rights, prescribed medications, diagnoses, and allergies, among other data. You can also consult the details of pension contributions and companies where you have worked and see pension projections.

Foreigners sign up with their Identification Number (Número de Asegurado), provided when they originally sign up with Caja, once their residency is approved. Costa Rican citizens use their cédula number.

EDUS is available for iOS (App Store) and Android (Google Play Store).

Track Your Retirement Pension

All contributors and pensioners of the IVM pension fund of the Caja Costarricense de Seguro Social (CCSS), can consult their information on pensions through the EDUS app.

Members of the IVM have access to the details of their contributions to companies where they worked and even make a projection of their pension.

Pensioners can review their pension payment date, amount to receive, and payment date of the bonus.

The Disability, Old Age, and Death (IVM) regime is the basic pillar of the country’s pension system. Currently, it is the largest in the country, with 1,419,244 people affiliated and 285,000 people receiving a pension.

How do I add my information to the EDUS app. My wife has an I phone and my husband has an Android. Can I add my wife to my app? If I can how do I do that???? Do I need to to add this app on its own to my I Phone? Please help

  When you log in to EDUS, you click on your name and a pop-up will come up showing secondary users (family connected to your account). In order to add your wife to that, you have to go to the local Caja clinic or EBAIS to make sure your accounts are connected as family. Once the accounts are connected, you can access and make appointments for your wife this way: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MCWxAlhYnk4
